2024 Astrology horoscopes - Virgo
Dear Virgo, I have to confess that 2024 may hold a few challenges, with both Saturn and Neptune sitting in your opposing sign of Pisces.
The Neptune influence has been around since 2011 and many of you have already encountered the double-edged gifts that this planet brings. In 2024, those of you born September 16-22 are particularly in the firing line. Neptune brings imagination, spirituality, creativity and an understanding of life’s depths, but also an illusory element, both in terms of what you perceive and also how you express yourself. This may manifest as confusion, grief or ambiguity in your contacts with other people.
It’s possible that your usual Virgo ability to analyse situations hasn’t been reliable in recent years - perhaps you’re missing something or you may be giving out a false impression or mixed messages. All of this adds up to a cycle of excitement and disappointment as your hopes fluctuate into periods of disillusionment. Your critical, inner self is whirring away, trying to understand and solve these problems, but it may not be able to gather all of the information it needs in order to make solid plans for improvements. Which all sounds a bit exhausting.
Physical depletion is possible, particularly around July when Neptune turns retrograde. Try to take care of yourself, allowing plenty of time for rest. Contact with water may be beneficial - keep up swims and baths throughout the winter months.
This energy is exacerbated by a Lunar Eclipse on September 18. It’s the first in the new cycle, which impacts the Virgo/Pisces axis until 2026. The actual eclipse seems fairly benign, but it sits conjunct Neptune, highlighting these topics and bringing them to a head in some way.
Saturn moved to oppose Virgo in March 2023, and hovers in the mid degrees throughout this year. Think back to last year - which parts of your life may have been feeling more ‘sticky’ and difficult since then? Finding the Pisces house in your chart will help to define life topics caught up with this energy. Throughout 2024, Virgos born Aug 25-Sept 13 will get a blast of Saturn. And I have to say that it can be a bit of a downer. There may be a quiet sense of discouragement, of not quite having the resilience you need in order to cope with your predicament. As an opposition aspect, you may encounter problems with partners, bosses or parents. All of which may leave you feeling physically tired and susceptible to illness. Use your fabulous Virgo talents of planning and organisation to implement a vitamin and health routine that can keep you on track. This energy is quite helpful for getting a personal trainer, or committing to a new routine of some kind. The key takeaway is to practice mindfulness and PATIENCE. Saturn is moving quickly this year, and the energy won’t linger for too long. So keep your chin up.
A helpful factor is Jupiter’s stay in Taurus until May 28. This adds a level of confidence and willingness to tackle the tough stuff with grace and perspective. The energy remains helpful with this planet’s shift into Gemini for the second half of the year. You may feel more motivated to get going on things from then.
