2023 dawns with a contemplative, significant tone. Mercury (retrograde), Venus and Pluto are hovering in your sign creating intense dealings with others. Perhaps you’re having a deep dive, investigating your relationship. For single Capricorns, anyone that you’ve met over the Christmas/New Year period could become significant.
Those of you born between Dec 29 and January 8 may be getting some flashes of insight and forming clear ideas about what direction you want 2023 to go in. A trine from Uranus and the North Node is helping you assess things with fresh eyes. It’s inspired, purposeful stuff, that might feel quite karmic.
Like everyone, Mars retrograde is causing you frustrations and perhaps something has been delayed or a source of annoyance since October 2022. Unlike some signs, you’re not copping this one too badly, but expect the niggling problems to start clearing in mid January.
In March, your ruling planet, Saturn, moves into Pisces where it will stay for the next couple of years. This is a really interesting shift that could potentially manifest in a variety of ways.
On the one hand, you may feel a slump in your energy levels. It’s a more diffused energy, so you might find your vitality ebbs and flows more during this time. Emotions may play a greater role in your life. This is watery, fluid energy that increases your emotional intelligence and allows you to step out of a ‘black and white’ mentality, to live amongst the grey layers of life.
As a result of living with less fixed parameters, you may experience more self doubt and self questioning over your motives and drives. You may find your motivations shifting and hard to define and this might cause you some disquiet as your usually firm centre becomes a little gooey.
The flip side is that this could be a really helpful change - the sextile energy always brings opportunity. Those of you born in December may be particularly able to harness this new evolution of yourself. A new perspective is available. You’re feeling less stuck or committed to previous plans and more responsive to your surroundings, so it’s a great time to pursue new interests and avenues.
It’s a great time to explore spiritual pursuits and heart-led interests. You may find this period is useful for successfully resolving conflicts. Mediation processes might be completed or you may be better able to accept and move on from historic traumas. This is beautiful self-care energy.
Since 2008, Pluto has been steadily creeping through your sign, creating a significant period of change. Pluto is the ‘transformer’ of the universe. It confronts you and urges you to eliminate the parts of life that aren’t working. Whilst ultimately helpful, Pluto doesn’t choose gentle means - life may have felt brutal and fate may have been ruthless over recent years. Winter returns some of the weighty feelings - with retrograde Pluto dipping back into Capricorn for a six-month stay. This particularly impacts those of you born Jan 16-19.
