Planetary energies Apr 4-10, 2022

Astrologers web-wide are getting EXCITED about next week’s joining (conjunction) of Jupiter and Neptune. It’s the strongest outer-planetary alignment of the year and many see it as bringing blessings of spiritual joy and inspired opportunity at a Tom-Cruise-type of level. I’m not quite as jazzed about it - it definitely should be good, but it’s also an abundance of ‘wet’ Pisces energy that has us NSW east coasters thoroughly fed up. We do not want any more wet! I am hoping that once Venus passes these planets and Jupiter moves on in early May, things will dry out considerably.

Before we get to that event (April 12), we’ve got a few days of scratchy energy with Mars and Saturn squaring the Lunar Nodes. There’s a strong push/pull vibe with restraints and reality getting in the way of dreams. It’s like you really WANT to take a blissful bubble bath, but your hot water system is broken. Sure, you can boil the kettle and fill the tub that way, but it kind of takes the self-indulgent fun out of things.

The plus side is that the Saturn/Mars is practical AND energetic. When working well this is classic ‘can do’ dynamic and squaring the nodes, it’s likely that we’re turning a corner and passing a moment where we stop looking back and start heading firming towards our brighter, more purposeful future. 

So be more Tom this week. Tap into your inner nspiration to give you the WHY this week. Use the irritations to figure out the HOW. A Gemini Moon leads the planets, so any scenario can be dealt with effectively using heart-led communication. 

And next weekend, as the Jupiter/Neptune moment gets closer, a Cancer moon brings some really excellent energy that would be well directed into healing any broken relationships and coming to terms with any past hurts. Enjoy.
